THE BINOCULAR

Since May 2005, a very powerful binocular is permanently positioned on the square facing the Parish Church of St.Ambrogio, the highest and most scenic spot of the village (310 m or 940 ft. above sea level).
The spot gives an unparalleled and unrestricted view over the Alps range, the surrounding hills, and the Po plain (
See panorama).
It has become an instant success with the visiting tourists, the passers by and the many vacationers who keep coming back year after year !
Exciting details, such as: airplanes landing at the Milan Malpensa airport 40 miles away, the Capanna Margherita refuge on top of Mt. Rosa, or the Oropa Sanctuary, and many more, can be easily and clearly spotted on most days
Observation is free of charge at all times.
Pictures are quite succesfully taken through the lens of the instrument, as shown by pictures in this page and in the
"by night" page.
